Herdsperson

Free stall operation milking 140 cows n Navan, Ontario is seeking a full-time herdsperson. The farm features a double 10 parallel parlour. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with dairy cattle.

Responsibilities

• Milking
• Calf feeding and caring
• Heat detection 
• Basic milking and barn equipment maintenance

Skills

• Attention to detail
• Animal husbandry a must
• Able to follow instructions and work independently

Compensation

• Accomodations available for the right individual
• 42-50 hours per week
• Every other weekend off
• 6AM - 9AM; off in between; 3:30 - 7PM
• $10-$15 per hour (depending on experience)
