Responsibilities

• Manage the gilt development facility that brings iso-weaners in from Western Canada

• Vaccinate and put orders together for Ontario and Quebec customers

• Manage all activities/processes related to farm management and operations

• Plans, sets and monitors goals, then communicates to owner

• Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained 

• Ensure all farm records are monitored and reported on a timely basis

• Order feed for the farm in a timely manner  

•  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to farm situations.

Skills Required

Successful candidates should be dependable, able to work unsupervised, and have good record keeping skills. The applicant must be  a take charge farm manager with effective communication skills, as the owner is often absent.  Only open and honest people need to apply.

Compensation

Base salary is $28,000 per year with a performance bonus in the range of $1000-$1800  per month.  We offer at least 3 weeks paid vacation and weekend work limited to one in four.
